Mulch MATTERS!

You wouldn’t rake the leaves off of a forest floor, would you? Well, the same principles apply to your garden beds. By mulching your gardens, whether it be a green/living mulch with cover crops like oat straw, barley, clover, etc…, or a dry mulch like straw or wood chips, in doing this you are mimicking patterns found in nature that will encourage and foster healthier soils!

Mulching:

✅ helps moderate soil temperature and moisture levels,
✅ reduces evaporation meaning you can water your garden less,
✅ adds carbon to the soil that fungi will break down and turn into compost,
✅ and we would argue, increases the beauty and aesthetic of your garden spaces!

Take care of your soil and your soil will take care of YOU!
